A meeting of the Oswego Town Board was held on July 13, 2009 at town hall.

Deputy Supervisor Tim DeSacia opened the meeting at 7:00 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was taken with the following members present:

Town Clerk's Report: June fees paid to the supervisor were $2,478.38, total $3,188.50. Tax interest paid to the supervisor on July 6, ,2009 $146.56. The historical society will host an ice cream social/band concert July 14th, at 6 pm in the town park. The osteoporosis demo class went well and another one is scheduled for July 22nd at 6 pm. in town hall. The Board of Elections came to inspect the room for the upcoming elections, we will have 3 new voting machines but will have the same number of people working. It will be sign in, get a ballot to mark and then go to the voting machine to cast your vote.
Supervisor's Report: No report as she is on vacation.

Public Comment: Legislator Doug Malone reported that the deliberators are ready for all county buildings. The towns may be able to get them for town halls, our fire department would train people if one was purchased for town hall.

Resolution 2009- 70 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves the minutes from the June 8, 2009 town board meeting and June 22, 2009 workshop meeting.
Moved by Councilor Mahaney, second Councilor Shaver, all ayes motion carried.

Resolution 2009- 71 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves the following budge modifications: from A1990.4 contingency to A3310.4 (traffic control) for $543.50; from A1990.4 (contingency) to A4020.4 (registrar) for $20.00.
Moved by Councilor DeSacia, second Councilor Herrmann all ayes motion carried.

Resolution 2009- 72 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves the bills on Abstract #7 as follows:

Moved by Councilor DeSacia, second Councilor Shaver all ayes motion carried.

Resolution 2009- 73 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board authorizes Justice Jung and Justice Sterio to submit a grant application to the Justice Court Assistance Program.
Moved by Councilor Herrmann, second Councilor Mahaney all ayes motion carried.
Justice Sterio explained the process for this grant and the maximum amount that could be granted is thirty thousand.

Resolution 2009- 74 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves sending a speed reduction request form TE-9 to the Oswego County Highway Department for Thompson Road from Co. Rt.7 to St. Rt. 104.
Moved by Councilor DeSacia, second Councilor Shaver all ayes motion carried.

Fred Knopp spoke against this reduction of speed for Thompson Rd.

Motion by Councilor Mahaney, second by Councilor Shaver to close the meeting at 7:15 PM all ayes motion carried.
