Town Clerk's Report: May fees paid to the supervisor were $2291.29, total for the month $3204.35. The Oswego Town Historical Society craft show/flea market is this Saturday. I completed the RSVP osteoporosis training class and a demonstration is planned for July 8th at 6 PM. RSVP has all the necessary insurance and paperwork as requested by the town board.

Supervisor's Report: The Historical Society had their annual Memorial Day service at the Rural Cemetery a few weeks ago; I was unable to attend and I will ask the President of the Historical Society Mr. DeMass to report on the event during public comment.

We have two requests for support for bike and road runs though the town. The YMCA will hold their annual Tour De Loop On August 22nd. I am hopeful that Councilor DeSacia will ride again this year.

Novelis will hold their 10 Kan Road and 20 Mile Bike race though the city and town of Oswego on Sept 19th.

Our Highway dept. has been upgrading stop signs thought-out the town. New reflective signs with greater visibility are being placed.

Work on the cemetery office is continuing, and should be completed in the next few weeks.

The town board held their workshop on June 1st, to discuss the finalization of the zoning map and law. The town board set a public hearing for June 22nd, to hear all parties on the revised zoning map. This will be the third public hearing on this Local Law.

I would like to thank the committee of Theresa Cooper, Greg Auleta, Judy Sabin- Watson and Wayne Newton for the many hours of work that went into this project. It has been many years and I am hopeful that the town board will act on this in July.

Our Code Enforcement Officer has issued 10 building permits in May and made 5 inspections; He also attended a class on Well and Waste water laws at the Oswego County Dept of Health.

Our Dog Control Officer only had one complaint in May! Remember to have your dog licensed!

We sold 3 new cemetery lots and had 11 Burials in the Rural Cemetery in May.

Save the date. The town will host a town wide yard sale on August 1st. If anyone wishes to have their sale noted on the map you can do so by calling my office at 343-2424 by July 24th.

The town has received a 100 percent equalization rate for 2009.

I met with the supervisors of the towns Minetto and Scriba to sign our municipal agreements, for Highway Services and Dog Control. The town of Oswego continues to share services with surrounding towns in an effort to maximize tax dollars and keep cost down.

Public Comment: George DeMass gave the following report regarding the Historical Society: the Memorial Day Service had an excellent turnout. The Historical Society will have a booth at the Oswego County Fair and have a room at the Richardson Bates House during the month of August. We will highlight our town during that month. We will have the Oswego Valley Fiddlers for our ice cream social in July. The district 12 school reunion will be held on August 15th, with over 80 classmates attending from across the United States. Two sculptors for the Dr. Mary Walker statue will be submitting their concept models to the historical society for review. They are Ted Aub from Geneva and Sharon BuMann is from Schroeppel.

Two town residents asked about access to the lake for town residents at Lake Shore Spur Road. They feel it would be excellent for the town residents to use this area if we own the area.
