Resolution 2012-39 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves the minutes from April 9, 2012 town board meeting.
Resolution 2012-40 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves the bills on abstract #5 as follows:
Moved by Supervisor Mullen, second Councilor DeSacia all ayes motion carried.
Resolution 2012-41 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves the use of the town hall on Tuesday May 15th from Noon-9 pm for the Oswego City School Districts Budget Vote and Board of Education elections.
Resolution 2012- 42 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board directs the Supervisor to renew the town's insurance with Oswego Valley Insurance Agency in the amount of $27,541.84.
Resolution 2012- 43 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board has no objection to the Oswego County Legislature assuming Lead Agency status for the Oswego Brownfield Opportunity Area action.
Resolution 2012- 44
WHEREAS, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker was born in the Town of Oswego, New York, on November 26, 1832; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Walker received her Medical Doctorate degree from Syracuse Medical College in 1855; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Walker served in the United States Army on the front lines in the face of imminent danger during the War Between the States, receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor in recognition of her valor as the first female United States Army Surgeon;
NOW, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Oswego Town Board of the Town of Oswego, New York, by this Resolution, declares Dr. Mary Edwards Walker the First Heroine of the Town of Oswego, New York, and that this statue be placed in front of the Oswego Town Hall to remind all, of this remarkable woman.
Moved by Councilor Tesoriero, second Councilor Herrmann all ayes motion carried.
Motion by Councilor Mahaney, second Councilor Tesoriero to close the meeting at 7:15 PM all ayes motion carried.
