The meeting of the Oswego Town Board was held at town hall on April 8, 2013. Supervisor Mullen opened the meeting at 7:00 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance. A moment of silence was held for Virginia Simmons, who recently passed away, her husband was a former highway employee. Roll call was taken with the following members present:

Resolution 2013-42 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board opens the public hearing to hear all interested parties, either for or against Local Law 2013-1 a local law that rescinds Local Law 2012-1, known as the Rental Permit Law.
Public Comment: Town resident Doug Malone and Fred Knopp Jr. are in favor of getting rid of the Rental Permit Law.
Resolution 2013-43 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board closed the public hearing at 7:07 pm.
Resolution 2013-44 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves the minutes from the March 11, 2013 town board meeting.
Resolution 2013-45 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves the bills on abstract #4 as follows:
Moved by Councilor Mahaney, second Councilor DeSacia all ayes motion carried.
Public Comment: Comment and concerns from town residents regarding the bids for an old safe should be advertised so more people can submit a bid. Questions were asked about the paving of town roads, will we be using oil and stone or paving? Thompson Rd has a big drop off just past Fall Brook on the curve heading North., and we should stop brush pickup.
Resolution 2013-46 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves the seasonal employee for the Rural Cemetery for the 2013 season; Nicholas Czerow, Timothy Gibson, Dennis Knopp, Gerald Michalski, Christopher Murray and Nicholas Rossi.
Resolution 2013-47 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board approves the updated Rural Cemetery Rules and Regulations revision of 3/11/2013 (attachment A).
Resolution 2013-48 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board holds a public hearing on May 13, 2013 at 7:05 PM on Proposed Local Law 2013-2; a local law that repeals and replaces Local Law 1994-1 and all amendments, known as Flood Damage Prevention.
Resolution 2013-49 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board acknowledges the tentative roll session and grievance day schedule identified as (attachment B).
Resolution 2013-50 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board adopts Local Law 2013-1, a local law that rescinds Local Law 2012-1, known as the Rental Permit Law.
Resolution 2013-51 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board adds to the agenda.
Resolution 2013-52 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board rescinds resolution 2013-39 the disposal of a safe in poor condition.
Resolution 2013-53 Be it resolved the Oswego Town Board advertised on the town website and put posters in local businesses to accept sealed bids FOB for a safe in poor condition. Bids to be advertised from April 12, 2013 til April 30, 2013. Sealed bids to be accepted by the town clerk and opened at the next town board meeting on May 13, 2013.
Motion by Councilor Tesoriero, second Councilor Mahaney to close the meeting at 7:26 PM.
