Debra Jaskula made a motion to accept Agenda as presented – approved.
2011-6 Dr. K. Hodgson - has hired Bardan Construction to put on a 20 x 20 room in the back of Tara Animal Hospital. Privacy fence close to property line – had to get a variance. Only affects Scott Thompson on that side - he is OK with it – lives in Brooklyn and bought land for hunting. G. Auleta stated that Dr. Hodgson has obtained all other neighbor's signatures also. K. Caraccioli clarified that right side variance of 20' is all that is needed. G. Auleta stated that received letter from D. Turner of Oswego County – no significant impact on right side yard setback 20'. No sign is involved. D. Jaskula made motion for area variance 20' right side; seconded by T. Anderson. Passed. G. Auleta stated counsel will provide official granting by mail.
2011-5 Larry Taylor – wants to open business in R-2 zone on Co. Rt. 89. Oswego County said no significant impact – local issue. Need use variance to open business. L. Taylor stated he has applied for Federal Firearms License and wants to operate gunsmith business with part time hours; no signs visible. Has room for 8-10 cars in his driveway. K. Caraccioli stated at some point must give proof of ATF license. G. Auleta noted for the record that 11 neighbors were notified of his interest to open this business. L. Taylor asked how quickly paperwork is sent if he is granted variance – he needs to submit something to ATF soon. G. Auleta responded that if there is positive action, he could email ATF immediately; legal papers would take about one week to be drawn up. Wayne Newton will draw up initial letter next week if approved. D. Jaskula made a motion for approved use variance for Lodge on the Loop Gun Sale and Ammo business; gunsmith business primarily email and limited walk-in retail sale. T. Anderson seconded. Passed.
Jeff Carson application – G. Auleta stated that J. Carson is appealing the ruling by Code Enforcement Officer rejecting Carson's request for Building Permit for Sleepy Hollow. A resolution was passed that the determination of the Town of Oswego ZEO to deny building permits to Carson for his Sleepy Hollow subdivision is affirmed as modified in Attachment A.
Old Business: None.
Open Board Discussion:
W. Newton suggested that at some point, Board should sit down and discuss a junk ordinance.
